Manager Shares Winning Recipe
Ever wish you could drink a beer a day — and call it a diet?
Well now you can and claim that it’s what the pros do. That is, if you ask the team formerly known as Advocare.
Team player/manager/dietician Jeremy Halfmann told the Fond du Lac Reporter that after losing Advocare as team sponsor, the team is on a “beer diet,” believe it or not. They have cut red meat from their diet, which means that in order to reach the requisite amount of calories each player needs, they drink a beer a day. Their choices, according to the story? Miller Lite and Coors Light.
Not the greatest of alcoholic beverages, but hey, they’re living the American Dream.
“If you do it the right way, it’s actually not bad for you and that’s why I’m doing it,” Halfmann said to the Free Press. “However, some players are taking it a little too far.”
He continued to explain that the 39-year-old Matt Schultz has been deep-throating a six-pack a day. But he probably needs a lot of caloric intake to maintain the stature needed, especially to compete with other big men on the rubber.
Since switching diets, the team has gone on winning. So, as long as it works, who’s to question the team?

* Team Continues Winning Way Despite Off Field Distractions
American softball player Mark Graf has received one of the more astounding suspensions in recent memory.
Graf stepped away from the team formerly known as “Advocare” last week for “family reasons,” though he attempted to join the Press Box team as a free agent player later that week.
The former Michigan Tech University standout never made it, however, and was instead handed a one-year suspension from Fond du Lac Softball Association (FSA) for failing a drug test.
But it wasn’t performance enhancing drugs, recreational drugs or any of the other usual suspects that thwarted Graf.
His drug test, according to fdlreporter.com, revealed that he was pregnant.
The test on the urine that Graf provided revealed the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG, which is a hormone made by the placenta during pregnancy.
That urine, per the report, actually belonged to his wife — who likely didn’t know she was pregnant at the time.
So, FSA suspended Graf for fraud. He’s eligible to return on July 24, 2020.

Advocare Still Shaking Off Winter Weight
The team experienced their first loss on the season (many more to come) at the hands of Press Box II. The loss can mostly be chalked up to Graf not being on the field to start the game, and the team forced to begin with only 9 players. Reprimands have been made, and the team looks to move forward. Enough about the loss though.
In an effort to improve play, player/manager/statistician, Jeremy Halfmann is looking beyond traditional metrics to figure out the precise way to put 6 Fitz's in the batting order with Schultzie, R Kelly, Kottke and himself filling out the rest of the lineup. It's a bold strategy.
Come out to watch the team and their new strategies on Wednesday at 6:00.
